ABOUT THE EVENT:
Vibin' and Thrivin': The Hill in the 1970s is a community Pop-Up Museum, hosted by Duquesne graduate students in coordination with the Hill House Association, celebrating the rich culture and history of Pittsburgh's Hill District. We invite members of the community to bring their own mementos to put on temporary display and to share their stories of this vibrant neighborhood. This event is free and open to the public. Live entertainment and catering will also be provided!

What is a Pop-Up Museum?
Pop-Up Museums are temporary exhibits which use artifacts provided by the people who attend them. It works by choosing a theme and venue and then inviting people to bring an object on-topic to share. Participants write a label for their object and leave it on display. A Pop Up Museum usually lasts a few hours on one day. Pop Up Museums focus on bringing people together in conversation through stories, art, and objects. They can happen anytime, anywhere, and with any community.
